I was appointed to the role of Head of Business Development and as such worked closely with Mariann in her role of Head of Marketing. I recall an occasion when a group of partners were travelling by coach from London to Cardiff for an important firm event and the coach broke down just a few miles from our destination, but in the middle of a busy road. Unperturbed Mariann jumped straight into action to find a solution, which involved her flagging down an empty local bus and persuading the driver to give all of us a lift. Complete genius!
